William was born in 1995 and he lives and works in London, United Kingdom.
Biography
The cornerstone of William’s photography is the desire to depict wild animals in their natural environment; “My presence should have no great influence on their behaviour for in doing so the image will no longer be what I strive for; natural”.
With an instantly recognisable style, William’s internationally acclaimed work has sold around the world and been utilised to raise vital funding for a variety of charitable organisations as well as being included in the globally renowned fundraiser, Prints for Wildlife.
To date his work has raised over £110,000 for a combination of wildlife centric charities, with one edition of Rumble in the Jungle, his best selling work, raising £30,000 for Zoological Society of London.
In 2022 William’s first solo show, The Art of Survival made him the youngest wildlife photographer to have a two month solo exhibition in London, while his debut coffee table book The Last Stand was released to coincide with exhibition launch.
His eye for captivating wildlife art has seen him become a judge on the Wildlife Artist of the Year competition, known as the Oscars for wildlife art.
In tandem with his exciting photographic career William co-founded the safari company Armstrong Fortescue with long term safari guide Matthew Armstrong Ford.
Specialising in guided photographic safaris with expeditions to search for polar bears, snow leopards, gorilla, tiger, lion and many others, their trips cater to all level of photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Having just crossed the boundary from late 20’s to early 30’s William’s now focussed on his next series of work, On Open Plains, the first prints of which are now available through ARTITLEDcontemporary.
